How can I use TAB in tags import?

For example, you have CSV or TXT file with tag values and these values are divided by “Tab” symbol.

Open the Import/Export Wizard (import mode) and select source file (Figure 1) [1].

How can I use TAB in tags export?

You can use the “tab” symbol as tags separator in Import/Export Wizard (the export mode). Please open the Settings dialog, select the “Filelist Settings” item, select <Tab> item from combo-box (Figure 1) and click the “Ok” button.

The Import/Export Wizard can work with searching audio files in source file. You should use the <Filename> template variable for it.

For example, you have the some audio files without tags (figure 1) and the source CSV file with tag values (figure 2).

The Import/Export Wizard can import tags to the audio files and rename their!

You should choose the second option of the <Filename> template variable in the second wizard page (figure 1).

How can I import tags from other files?

For example, you have some audio files without tags (figure 1) and the CSV file which contains the tag information (figure 2).

Using the Import/Export Wizard you can import tags to the audio files from these file types:

  • CSV (Comma Separated Values file);
  • TXT (text file);
  • XML (eXtensible Markup Language file);
  • M3U playlists.

How can I export tags to other files?

Using the Import/Export Wizard you can export tags from the audio files and save theirs to other file:

  • CSV (Comma Separated Values file);
  • TXT (text file);
  • XML (eXtensible Markup Language file);
You can open the wizard from the main menu (the “File > Import/Export Wizard” item) or the main tollbar (the “Import/Export” button). This dialog will be open (figure 1).
I will describe in the article about export to CSV files only. Tags export to TXT files is similar.
